You are Enough.

My dear sisters in widowhood, you are enough. Your loss may be recent, or it may have been years ago...it matters not. You are enough. Remember, my friend, that you were never defined by what you did, rather, you have always been defined by who you are. You are beloved. You are beautiful, You are strong, Likewise, you are not defined by your loss. Make no mistake, you have grown from it. You have faced struggles and challenges, tears and sadness, all in the name of love for your spouse. Grief is the love you want to cling to, but allow yourself the freedom to cling to the love, while healing from the sorrow.

You are enough. You have always been a gift to those around you. Let them take care of you in your sorrrow and when you feel like you are alone, remember you are never alone.

One Widow's Might is here for you, but more than that, God, the Father, is here for you. He is the reason you are enough. He created you in his image and likeness( Gen. 1:27) and you have been fearfully and wonderfully made (Proverbs 139:14). When darkness creeps into your soul to try to bring you down, do your best to turn towards God because He will remind you not only who you are, but WHOSE you are. You are enough. Let this sink into your being, from the top of your head to the soles of your feet and let it fill you.

I will be sharing my stories of loss through my blog posts so that you will know that I get you. I may not understand your particular circumstances, but my heart has compassion because I know you have lost and are hurting. Stay with me, sister, and we will get real, we will get vulnerable, and we will encourage each other along the way to heal, and to carry on with hope. In some of my blog posts I will try to answer the questions that get sent in. This is the ministry that God has called me to carry forward--to bring hope and healing to my sisters in widowhood. Until next week, carry on and I will pray for you. Please pray for me.
